RAL+ Alternative dispute resolution platform

The RAL+ Platform enables the management and operation of the different means of alternative dispute resolution (ADR):

  • Justice of the Peace;
  • Public systems of Family and Labour Mediation;
  • Consumer Disputes Arbitration Centres authorised and supported by the MJ.

With this platform, the citizen may:

  • Request information about how RAL mechanisms work;
  • Initiate procedures: of Family Mediation, of Labour Mediation, at the Justices of the Peace and in the Consumer Disputes Arbitration Centres;
  • Consult procedures;
  • ​Carry out acts electronically.

The RAL+ Platform allows simple and secure access to information through authentication with a citizen's card (CC) or a digital mobile key (CMD).

 
  • The RAL+ platform is currently available for the Justices of the Peace of the West, of Miranda do Corvo, Vila Nova de Poiares, Santo Tirso, Sintra, Terras de Bouro, Trofa, the cluster of municipalities of Alvaiázere, Ansião, Figueiró dos Vinhos, Pedrógão Grande and Penela, the cluster of municipalities of Tarouca, Armamar, Castro Daire, Lamego, Moimenta da Beira and Resende and the cluster of municipalities of Aguiar da Beira, Penalva do Castelo, Sátão, Trancoso and Vila Nova de Paiva. Access to the platform will soon be extended to the whole network of the Justice of the Peace in the country.

  • If the competent Justice of the Peace for your case is not one of those mentioned above, you should not submit the action on the RAL+ platform, but rather through the usual means, that is, the submission of the action must be done in person at the competent Justice of the Peace, via CTT or email.

 

Advantages of using the RAL+ Platform

  • Proximity – with this platform it is easy and accessible to request information, initiate proceedings, consult procedures and carry out acts electronically;

  • Speed ​​- the use of the digital channel allows the quick interaction between the parties, which increases the speed of dispute resolution;

  • Security – the access to the platform is done by authenticating the user with a citizen's card (CC) or a mobile digital key (CMD), ensuring the security of the information.

  • Procedure simplification - all the procedural flow and the exchange of information between systems are electronic, allowing for the automatic scheduling of routines and communications with the citizens, reducing the time of the procedural stages (e.g. eliminating the time it takes to send physical documents), reducing costs and eliminating physical procedures.

  • More rigorous deadline control - the platform performs real-time monitoring, allowing statistical data to be obtained on all activities, which enables better time and cost management.
